Our Methodology
RateMigo fetches live exchange rates from provider APIs and open exchange rate sources every 30 minutes. Here's exactly how our comparison works:
- ✓Live rate fetching: Rates are fetched automatically every 30 minutes from provider data sources. You always see the most current available rate.
- ✓Total cost calculation: We calculate the total recipient amount after all fees and exchange rate margins — not just the advertised rate.
- ✓Ranking methodology: Providers are ranked by the amount your recipient receives — highest amount first. We never rank by commercial relationship.
- ✓Data accuracy: Rates shown are indicative. Actual rates may vary slightly at time of transfer. Always verify the final amount on the provider's platform before sending.
- ✓Provider coverage: We currently compare Wise, Remitly, Western Union, XE and WorldRemit across 13 currency corridors.
